Eczema
Eczema is a broad term that includes rashes that appear as dry, scaly, itchy patches. Eczema and dermatitis can be interchangeable terms. Atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dry skin (asteatotic eczema), and nummular dermatitis all can fall under the term eczema. An important part of treatment is to identify the triggers and contributing factors that cause or worsen eczema. Treatment often involves dry skin care and topical creams that your dermatologist will go over in detail with you during your appointment.
